Hero (Herói)

without comments

As the second movie for yesterday (yup, I saw two), I saw “Hero” (brazilian title: “Herói”). Oh, I didn’t add the “lj-cut” stuff but this is complete spoilerless (just the normal stuff every movie has).

For some reason, the movie poster has Quentin Tarantino’s name on it, but, after checking the IMDB page, he only appears as “presenter” and I don’t understand what does this mean, as there is no “narrator” in any part of the movie.

But Quentin’s name is all over the movie. I mean, this is truly a master piece, an ode to the movies; it is and opera for the eyes; it is the Cindy Crawford of the movies. Even if I may sound gay, this is the most beautiful movie I ever saw in my whole life. Stunning photograph. Excellent story. Just cross your fingers and hope for not getting in a theater with a bucket of lard that screams “Fuck! They fly!” in the middle of the movie.

The story is about an assassin, who manage to kill the three most dangerous assassins and, by this, get a talk with the king. The story picks up from there, where the assassin tells his story to the king.

My recommendation: get out of this computer and move to the theater! Sit on the last row to see the whole screen at once. This movie is really worth every dime you would expend.
