My first experience with cigars

without comments

Last night, on a party with the people on my current project at work, I decided to ask my boss what all the fuss about cigars was about. So he let me taste it.

First things first. You must know that you don’t pull the smoke to your lungs. You let it rest a little on your mouth and then push it out.

The fun fact is that, smoking this way, you don’t feel a damn thing. Nothing at all. But if you breath a little air with your mouth, the taste comes quite quickly. Just to let you know how it tastes, imagine a “calabresa” (pipperoni?), one of those you do on barbecues, with a somewhat strong spiced flavor. Now, take out the meat taste. There you have it.

Some tips I got with time: do not try to pull it twice in a row. The taste gets pretty strong. Also, take care when the cigar is almost in the end. Not because you can burn your fingers, but because the smoke on the other tip can get into your nose and its smells is very very strong.

A fun experience, I must say.
