Why we love crappy Google software?

without comments

Have you ever noted how we use Google products and never complain when they fail?

Let me show some examples: Gmail web-interface fails from time to time. You can’t log on or, if you can, it says there is something wrong; Gmail pop-interface sometimes doesn’t download some emails; Google Reader (which seems isn’t beta anymore) forgets to mark posts as read, show error messages (”There was a problem”) after reading some posts very fast, shows unread posts on the sidebar but not in the post area and the “All items” like to “dance” when you have less than 100+ unread posts; Google Video has a download feature, but it usually sent videos that looks worst than the one showing inside that flash.

And, no matter what, no one is complaining. Even more, people still recommend using Google stuff over anything else.

It is not because it is free. Open source products are are free (as in beer) and people complain missing features.

Why are we so happy with Google products and their failures when we don’t accept it from anything else?
