Can’t stop listening
You know when some song get stuck in your head and you can’t get bored of listening it over and over again? It happens to me from time to time and this time it is “Lynyrd Skynyrd - Hell or Heaven”.
Mama used to say to me, you can make your destiny
Keep your feet planted on the ground
You can always get it back, make a
castle from a one room shack
It’s all of what you make of what you’ve found
Son you’re gonna find out when you’re older
There’s always been the hand of god restin’
right there on your shoulderWill it be hell or heaven on earth
The choice is up to you
Look to the sky, the answer is clear
Are you gonna, live life for all it’s worth
Choose hell, or heaven on earth
If you live it right, there’s nothing to fear
‘Cause you’ll find heaven right hereSaw a man the other day, had it made in every way
Till his greed brought him down
He was blinded by the city lights, now he
shivers in the cold tonight
Who will save the lifeguard when he’s about to drownWill it be hell or heaven on earth
The choice is up to you
Look to the sky, the answer is clear
Are you gonna, live life for all it’s worth
Choose hell, or heaven on earth
If you live it right, there’s nothing to fear
‘Cause you’ll find heaven right hereYou know you’re gonna walk through fire
You know your gonna feel the pain
Oh you’re gonna lose, if you want to win the game
And everytime your heart is breakin’
And everytime your faith is shaken
Remember what mama said… Oh that day…Hope when my time has come
I’ve left enough to build upon
Ain’t no one gonna say I didn’t try
Here’s why…Hell or heaven on earth
The choice is up to you
Look to the sky, the answer is clear
Are you gonna, live life for all it’s worth
Choose hell, or heaven on earth
If you live it right, there’s nothing to fear
‘Cause you’ll find heaven right here
You’ll find heaven right here Oooohhh..
You’ll find heaven right here Oooohhh..
Oooohhh…. heaven right here…
Music power
There is something inside some songs that I can quite explain. Sometimes, I just listening to some song and, as it finishes, I feel some urge to hear it again. Then I go after the lyrics, ’cause when I hear the music, it all feels just like one single thing, undistinguishable from the rest. And, reading them, I finally realize there is something related to my life.
The fist memory from something like that was “When the Tigers Broken Free”, by Pink Floyd. At the time, my relationship with my father wasn’t something you could call “perfect”, but we both tried to improve it. Today, I can hear the same song without the strong emotional impact I had at the time (as, in the same way, our relationship improved a lot).
A few days, “Marathon”, by Rush, was playing a lot with my head nonstop. A race? Maybe. I really running after what I want and I’ll not give up so fast, as the music says.
And, five minutes ago, I felt in love with “Time Stand Still”. And, after seeing the lyrics, I really saw it fit on what I’m thinking.
I really believe there is something hidden inside a music. You like one because there is something hidden there that connects to you, even if you don’t realize what it is.
Chorus for “Just Look Up”
For some reason, I came with this lyrics for the “chorus” of Joe Satriani’s “Just Look Up”:
“No more lies
To keep me
I’m free”
On The Turning Away
I really want to see this live:
On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we wont understand
Dont accept that whats happening
Is just a case of others suffering
Or youll find that youre joining in
The turning away
Its a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting its shroud
Over all we have known
Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that were all alone
In the dream of the proud
On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite
In a silent accord
Using words you will find are strange
And mesmerized as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night
No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside
Just a world that we all must share
Its not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that therell be
No more turning away?

Hunting high and low
Last time I changed jobs, “Stratovarius - Hunting High and Low” kept playing in my head over and over again. And now again. So…
I feel the wind in my hair
And it’s whispering, telling me things
Of the storm that is gathering near
Full of power I’m spreading my wingsNow I’m leaving my worries behind
Feel the freedom of body and mind
I am starting my journey, I’m drifting away with the wind
I goI am Hunting High and Low
Diving from the sky above
Looking for, more and more, once again
I’m Hunting High and Low
Sometimes I may win sometimes I’ll lose
It’s just a game that I playAfter the storm there’s a calm
Through the clouds shines a ray of the sun
I am carried from all of my harm
There is no one that I can’t outrunNow I’m leaving my worries behind
Feel the freedom of body and mind
I am starting my journey, I’m drifting away with the wind
I goI am Hunting High and Low
Diving from the sky above
Looking for, more and more, once again
I’m Hunting High and Low
Sometimes I may win sometimes I’ll lose
It’s just a game that I play
LAST DAY, BABEEEEE!!!
