Someone kill the “GTA: San Andreas” designers

without comments

Not for the “Hot Coffee” problems, but because they created a so annoying game. I DON’T WANT TO LEARN HOW TO FLY YOUR STUPID FLIGHT SIMULATOR! I want to ride the places killing people. Geez.

Not to mention flying RC planes…

Switching places

without comments

After a long time without getting any levels, DrSaldanha kick himself out of the clan, leaving the place to slowtriani. I really can’t blame the guys on the clan, they said they needed a bard more than a monk, so…

I was killing “Florest Guardians”, as they don’t move, making a great target for ranged attacks, with a lot of exp in there but right now I’m going after Eclipses, trying to get a Four Leave Clover to make the Bunny Ears.

Oh, and E1lie is doing a dancer, so we could do duets and help the clan. After knowing there was a girl playing and wanting to be a dancer, the clan guys came by and invited her. Some things are really easy when you are a girl: I had to have a lot more levels (with DrSaldanha) just to get into the clan.

So I got hooked

without comments

Alright, I’ve being playing “Ragnarok” for about a month already. And I got hooked on it. So hooked that I decided to create a blog to describe what the hell is going on inside the game. You can read the adventures of my monk, Dr Saldanha.

When the virtual affects the real world

without comments

This is something I didn’t expect to see.

World Of Warcraft, the most popular MMORPG of all times, suddenly got the news on several games sites about a “strange” disease, which affects characters and may kill them if they don’t have enough level. That’s nothing interesting, as it is one of the most popular games around. The interesting part is that even BBC is carrying the story.

Now, that’s something new to me.

Ragnarok Online

without comments

already did a review of it but, as I could play it this weeked, I decided to put my opinion here too.

Ragnarok Online is an MMORPG, brought to Brazil by Level Up! Interactive. And yes, it is a paid service, but the price is not out of our economic reality.

At first, it may look like a childish or girlish game, as they put some cutsy-cute characters. But, down in the deeps of it, it is hidden a very complex RPG. Classes can go way complex to build, even more than Diablo 2 with all its synergies. The number of classes and sub-classes also add complexity to the building, but not as much complex as it would be build your first Diablo character.

As soon as I get a computer that can run it, I’ll start my own character.

Edit 1: As I was answering post, I recalled something: this is really a game thought to be played by several people. The way the classes where designed, the games almost forces a clan to have at least one character of each class. Even to ones that look stupid, like Bard and Dancer, actually help a lot the team. It is not like Diablo 2, where each character just hang around and somewhat help each other: on Ragnarok, the character role is to help the team, not play alone.

Also, you won’t find any class that “collide” on other, like a Healer and a Necromancer. Each class has its niche in the game.
